RiDE: striving to reduce hospital visits since 1995
The latest issue of RiDE is packed with great tips to make riding more enjoyable and dare I say it, safer. While riding a motorcycle is the best thing in the world, you can’t get away from the fact it is a dangerous old game. With this in mind, I’ve always done much to upskill and keep myself safe. The things I’ve learned from advanced training, trackdays, club racing and even off-road riding have been useful time and again but there are still moments where I’ve still had to make it up as I go along — and I’m sure you’re the same.
Our Danger Zone feature is designed to help you in those potentially-sticky situations. It covers a diverse range of scenarios from tackling a bike thief (and the law on giving them a going-over), to making sure a car pulling out on you is just a scare, rather than picking up a free ticket for an ambulance ride. It’s entertaining but could prove pretty useful...
We’ve also got a BMW GS special in this issue and we all know how accomplished the latest bike is. However, after reading all about Si H’s exploits on an original 1980s R80G/S, I’m desperate to own one — and if you turn to p44, you might feel the same. Warning: it could all start to get very expensive…
Enjoy the mag
