MCN Sport Season Preview

Tis' the (real) season to be jolly. The Pre-season testing is well underway and our Sunday silence is almost over! Hurrah! The action has been coming thick and fast in recent weeks, dare we say this is MotoGP’S Golden Era and the pre-season tests have been incredible.

2017 saw Marc Marquez secure his fourth MotoGP crown after a dramatic and intense long year of racing . In what was an intriguing season of multiple race winners and the emergence of Andrea Dovizioso as a title contender, Marquez prevailed. Now the attention turns to 2018 and while the 25 year old Spaniard starts as favourite, the competition he’ll face from Rossi, Lorenzo, Vinales, Dovizioso, Crutchlow and co. is unprecedented.

In this pre-season issue we cover all the best action from the pre-season testing in Sepang and Buriram. Lorenzo showed breathtaking pace at Sepang, does a switch to the red mean winning is just a matter of time? Rossi and Viñales continued to argue about the correct direction to take the development of the 2018 Yamaha forward whilst the irrepressible Marc Marquez is looking to gain a fifth title, already hugely successful at just 25 he is well on his way to GOAT status with plenty of time left for success.

We preview the world’s greatest road race and riders and TT legend McGuinness reveals the reasons behind his daring move to Norton for 2018.

In BSB Shakey and Haslam continue their rivalry and we take a look at the big hitters in the world of WSB.
